Earlier this week, our Franchise Development Manager, Alex Brook, had the privilege of organising the it’seeze Annual Conference at the Belfry Hotel. It was a day full of energy, insight, and collaboration, and Alex left with some key takeaways about the strength of our franchise network and the exciting opportunities ahead with the Lightning Platform. Here, he shares his reflections on what really stood out to him during the event.

As the Franchise Development Manager at it’seeze, I had the privilege of organising our Annual Conference earlier this week at the Belfry Hotel. It was a fantastic venue and a brilliant day, and one I’m incredibly proud of.
For me, the conference brought two things into very sharp focus. The strength and openness of our franchise network. And the scale of what we are about to launch with the Lightning Platform in January 2026.
Both feel equally important to where it’seeze is heading next.

Lightning Is a Step Change for the Business

One of the most important moments of the day was officially announcing the Lightning Platform, which will deliver what we believe will be the fastest websites in the world, launching in January 2026.
Lightning is not a minor update or a cosmetic refresh. As we shared during the presentation, it represents a fundamental shift in how our websites are built, perform, and scale.
Speed, security, stability, and simplicity are not bolt-ons. They are built into the architecture from the ground up. That matters because website performance now directly affects search visibility, user experience, and conversion rates.
For our franchisees, Lightning is not just a technical upgrade. It is a powerful commercial story to take to market and a genuine point of differentiation as we head into 2026.

Learning From Those Doing the Work

One of the most valuable sessions of the day was our panel of top performing franchisees, who shared their experiences and best practice openly with the room.
This was not theory or polished soundbites. It was practical, honest insight from people who are actively building successful businesses inside the network.
They spoke about what has worked for them, the habits that make the biggest difference, and the lessons they have learned along the way. The engagement in the room said everything. People were taking notes, asking thoughtful questions, and sharing ideas with each other.
That willingness to share knowledge and support one another is one of the biggest strengths of the it’seeze franchise network.

One conversation after the panel really stayed with me.
